This here's Fabien Hauquier. He used to be Mr. Belgium. Then he went on to take second place at Mr. World. He's been deemed "Zeus of the world." Pretty swell, huh? Yeah, we think it's kind of lame, too, but that doesn't mean he doesn't make us swell. (If we need to spell it out for you, tough shit.) Enjoy some more of his pics, after the jump. Or, you know, don't. It's really up to you. ....

The news is not as good for WGUC, which saw its ratings flat in the last year, but Eiswerth said that was to be expected noting popular talk shows like "Car Talk" and "All Things Considered" were sent from WGUC to its new sister station. Eiswerth said he estimated the two shows accounted for 20 percent of the WGUC audience and he said they were prepared to take a bigger hit. "It didn't happen," he said. "What we found was the audience we lost for 'GUC was fringe (listeners) tuning in for the news programs. Now a lot of that fringe has been converted to core for WVXU." Eiswerth said WGUC was down 6 percent in total listeners, but the ratings indicate that average quarter-hour listening was up 3 percent, suggesting the station's classical music lovers enjoyed the fact it had turned into a classical jukebox without news/talk interruptions....

Allyson Buckner was just one of dozens of young college students who benefited from the many jobs provided by the 12th annual Essence Music Festival, held this year in Houston. However, it was not money that made working the Fourth of July holiday weekend so sweet. Instead, it was the priceless opportunity to meet and hear celebrities. More than 200,000 people attended the festival, according to an Essence spokeswoman. "It was a really good experience. I got to meet a lot of people that I would probably never get a chance to meet under normal circumstances," said Buckner, a Houston resident and rising junior at Tennessee State University. "We didn't get paid in money, but we did get a free ticket to go to the music festival for one night." Buckner worked the Essence Fashion Show at the upscale downtown Hotel Derek....

CBS coming up roses

Sweat poured down Charlie Sheen's forehead like Yosemite's famous falls. CBS stars, executives and TV critics gathered for a sports-themed schmooz fest on the Rose Bowl field at the summer press tour taking place in Pasadena. The UCLA marching band blasted tunes as we walked through the tunnel and on to the field, feeling like the quarterback in the big game. Game on, my friends. Say what you will about Charlie, and goodness knows his ex-wife Denise Richards has in several legal actions, but he's always been a joy and a gentleman at these parties for TV critics. His Nazi-like personal manager had made sure that everyone who wanted to interview his client lined up to take turns for a few minutes of one-on-one Sheen time. Unfortunately, the usual interview protocol at such events calls for a quick grab and gab....

Richens wants Moore

Wearing a low-cut dress and puckering up for a pout, Gabrielle Richens turned up the heat on an otherwise chilly North Curl Curl Beach during a promotional shoot for Celebrity Survivor yesterday. While its debut in two weeks may be hotly anticipated by reality TV lovers, the Pleasure Machine is awaiting something far more, um, pleasurable than battling the elements on an island in Vanuatu. Richens, who lured Canterbury forward Solomon Haumono away from his $200,000-a-year contract to London, has cast her spell on Hollywood's Shemar Moore, 36, from the hit series Criminal Minds. He will travel to Sydney to be reunited with his beached babe in two weeks - coinciding with the series' launch. Get your celebrity gossip first from Sydney Confidential in The Daily Telegraph....

HOUSTON Best-selling singer Jill Scott says that the portrayal of black women in popular music and videos is too often degrading. She said today that the black community must find a way to change these images. Scott spoke prior to a panel discussing the issue at the Essence Music Festival's empowerment seminars. It was part of the magazine's Take Back the Music campaign. Actor Shemar Moore, rapper Common and former video dancer Karrine Steffans, who wrote the book "Confessions of a Video Vixen," were part of the discussion. The panel addressed the dangers these images present to young girls and said education and self-esteem will help keep them from believing this is a proper representation of black women. Steffans believes a lack of self-esteem allowed her to degrade herself in videos for virtually all the big names in hip hop....
